Lighting design for Bahrain Pavilion -1 – the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan
The theme ” Design Future Society for Our Lives. “embodies the desire for the international community to co-create a sustainable society, enabling individuals to fully realize their potential.
This EXPO is expected to provide an opportunity to address global challenges, with participants reflecting on what “a fulfilling life” means and working towards the creation of a society where well-being resonates.
Well-being refers to a state of being “both physically and mentally healthy, as well as socially fulfilled,” and aligns with the SDGs’ principle of “Good Health and Well-Being for All.”
The ” ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 25554,” issued in November 2024 under Japan’s leadership, is now being used globally as a guideline for organizations to promote well-being.
This standard recommends that each organization, such as communities or businesses, clearly define the areas they will focus on and establishes a systematic approach that can be applied across diverse organizations.
These initiatives are based on the WHO’s “Healthy Aging” and the SDGs’ principle of “Leaving No One Behind,” and include examples of Japan’s corporate health management, local government initiatives, and the use of digital technology.
The various proposals shared by Japan at EXPO are expected to play an important role in realizing a society where well-being resonates.
This time, Architectural Lighting Group designed a lighting design that reflects the concept of well-being for the Bahrain Pavilion.
Next week, we will discuss the Bahrain Pavilion, which weaves an enchanting story of “exceptional openness, cultural diversity, and innovation.”
