Miho Konishi, ALG’s lighting designer, gave a lecture in “German/Japanese Conference on Sunlight and Health; Effects of Light on Health from Infants to Old Age”. The conference will widely share the latest interdisciplinary knowledge about health and sunlight with specialists in medicine, the environment, architecture and industry. Miho Konishi, ALG’s Lighting Director, gave a talk in “Beautiful Mother Park ~Work on the SDGs with mother~” on June 30th. This family event aims to realize “Women’s Empowerment” and “Countermeasures to the falling birthrate and Child care support” advocated by the Cabinet Office of Japan. The total attendance for this event is 423,000. The ALG’s talk theme is “Lighting Design for children: health and education for children and beauty for women by lighting”. She talked about lighting for children’s room, attractive makeup by situation, and how to deal with lighting based on the goals of the SDGs.
Lighting Design Seminar for Students organized by International Association of Lighting Designers Japan (IALD Japan) was held on June 28th. Some lighting design offices gave presentations about lighting design such as “What is lighting design?” “What lighting designers do?” “How can I become a lighting designer?”. Miho Konishi, ALG’s Lighting Director, gave a seminar on the company profile, lighting design project examples, the relationship between lighting design and SDGs, and sent a message for students.
