The Bahrain Pavilion was designed by Lina Ghotmeh—Architecture, an architecture firm based in Paris, France. The Kingdom of Bahrain flourished through its pearl industry. This pavilion is modeled after a ‘ dhow boat’ (a traditional Bahraini wooden boat) vessel once used for natural pearl diving.
