[Lecture] Miho Konishi Delivered a Lecture at Waseda University Art School in 2025

On Monday, December 10th, from 7:55 PM to 9:35 PM, our lighting designer, Miho Konishi, gave a lecture at the Waseda University Art School, an evening educational institution of Waseda University.

This lecture is part of the Waseda University Art School curriculum and is now in its third year. It focused on the work of lighting designers, exploring how “light” serves as an essential element in creating spatial experiences.
Approximately 40 participants attended the lecture.

Under the theme “The Work of a Lighting Designer,” we began the lecture by presenting the contrasting perceptions of light in Japanese and Western architecture and art.
The lecture covered a wide range of topics, including the history of lighting design, how lighting designers become involved in architectural projects, and the work and responsibilities of a lighting designer.

After the lecture, a 10-minute Q&A session was held, during which attendees asked various questions, including inquiries about the more specific operational procedures.
Additionally, we received questions from participants who developed an interest in lighting design outside of class.
