Niigata City initiated a plan to redevelop its undersized cultural facilities into a comprehensive complex comprising a concert hall, theater, and Noh theater. Following an international design competition, the project was awarded to Itsuko Hasegawa, one of Japan’s leading architects.
Commissioned by ITSUKO HASEGAWA ATELIER, ALG was responsible for the lighting design of both the architecture and the landscape.
