Tokyo American Club

This facility is the social club composed mainly Americans who reside in Japan and also open to other foreign and domestic elites to create club life in Tokyo among the members. ALG has been appointed by the Board of Governors as the lighting consultant to light all spaces of FOH (front of house) working together with PCPA (Pelli Clarke Pelli of New Haven) and finally completed on January 2011. With completion of the club, TAC became the top club in the Asian countries in terms of facilities and services. The facility composed of two wings, the Formal and Informal wings connected above the ground by the bridges and Winter Garden with 12M ceiling; and basement with Ballroom and Function Rooms. Each activity spaces are provided with different lighting solutions and controls in terms of lux, color temperature, maintenance and usage. Lighting design was not easy task to be accomplished due to different lighting implications brought on by client, architect and builders as well. As a solution, we have established to secure basic illumination system and then went on to add and adjust the requirements by means of custom made adjustable, pendant, spots, and sconces. Our main intention was to create each space where lighting fixtures and sources to be integrated into architecture.
