The Bahrain Pavilion has been awarded the Gold Award in the Architecture ＆ Landscape category.
The Bahrain Pavilion has been honoured with the Gold Award for Best Architecture & Landscape in the Self-Built Pavilions (under 1,500 m²) category at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai – Official Participant Awards. The Official Participants’ Awards recognize outstanding achievements across four categories—Architecture & Landscape, Exhibition Design, Theme Interpretation, and Sustainability—for the 165 countries, regions, and international organizations participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The Bahrain Pavilion was designed by Lina Ghotmeh—Architecture, an architecture firm based in Paris, France. The Kingdom of Bahrain flourished through its pearl industry. This pavilion is modeled after a ‘ dhow boat’ (a traditional Bahraini wooden boat) vessel once used for natural pearl diving.
