The Kingdom of Bahrain Pavilion Osaka Expo 2025

–LIT Lighting Design Awards – Visitor Experience & Museum Exhibition
–“Gold Award” in Official Participant Award

The Kansai–Osaka Expo 2025 was held for six months starting on April 13, 2025.
The pavilion, designed as a seamless integration of interior and exterior spaces, welcomed many visitors.
Designed by France-based Lina Ghotmeh – Architecture,
our firm was responsible for the exterior and interior lighting design, including the underwater lighting on both sides of the pavilion.

Hikari Dental Clinic

–LIT Lighting Design Awards – Healthcare Lighting Design
　

Designed by Takehiko Iseki, an architect active in the United Kingdom,
this project involved the renovation of a former regional bank branch into a dental clinic. Our firm was responsible for the interior lighting design, creating a well-being–oriented environment for both patients and medical staff.
It is also the first project in Japan to adopt circadian lighting using spectrally controlled azure, sky-colored light.

[Lecture]Art and Architecture School of Waseda University

ALG lighting designer Miho Konishi delivered a lecture at the Art and Architecture School of Waseda University.
The lecture focused on the role of lighting designers and the practice of designing light as a key element in shaping spatial experience.

[Writing] JOURNAL OF THE ILLUMINATING ENGINEERING INSTITUTE OF JAPAN – November 2025

A special issue of the JOURNAL OF THE ILLUMINATING ENGINEERING INSTITUTE OF JAPAN (Vol. 109, No. 6, 2025), titled “Considering Decarbonized Society in 2050 through SDGs―from the Standpoint of Architecture and Lighting” planned, edited, and written by ALG lighting designer Miho Konishi, was published.

Light+

In the post–COVID-19 era, people have increasingly reconsidered what constitutes a truly fulfilling life, leading to a growing global interest in well-being.
Through Light+ regularly updated on the ALG website, we have shared insights into new approaches to lighting and its role in enriching everyday life under the theme of “Well-being.”
Starting in 2025, we launched a new series titled “Animals and Light” exploring ways to foster better relationships between people and their animal through lighting, with a focus on coexistence with animals that enrich our lives.

Animals and Light 1 – Pets and Light
In the “Animals and Light” series, we examine the role of lighting in creating a comfortable light environment for pets that share living spaces with humans.

Animals and Light 2 – Pets and Light
Through an understanding of the visual characteristics of dogs and cats, this study explores lighting environments that are comfortable for pets.

Animals and Light 3 – Pets and Light
Living in accordance with circadian rhythms (the internal biological clock) is essential for maintaining health, not only for humans but also for pets.
